I have known Sam’s family for years and every time I get the opportunity to photograph a member of their family I jump at it. To say their family laughs a lot would be a complete understatement, they are always joking and laughing together, and they genuinely have fun together as a family. When Sam told me she was getting married and that they wanted me to photograph their wedding, I was immediately on board. Of course I knew they would be fun clients, but also I knew that any man Sam chose would be just as good and genuine as her.
For their engagement session Sam and Sacha invited me to the farm of a family friend. And just to give you an idea of how close they are to their family, they invited them all out for the morning to hang out during and after their engagement session. We had a great time navigating the farm, avoiding puddles and poop. We laughed and joked with their family, we got to hang out with some sweet horses, and we finished the session with hot chicken noodle soup and Timbits. Sounds alright, yeah?!
Stay tuned for Sam & Sacha’s wedding day, because I cannot wait to tell you all about it! Sam & Sacha, thank you for allowing me to document this first step in your life together. I cannot wait to see how you grow together and are blessed in your marriage.

Steph and Ian’s engagement session was so much fun. And so much cold. It was -4C and to say that Ian was cold is the understatement of the year. But we hammered out the best engagement session ever in about 40 minutes and then we all went home to a hot shower – or at least that’s where I went!
These two are crazy in love and “super awkward”, so obviously their session turned out perfect. So much laughter and cheese, it screams happy.
Stay tuned to see Steph + Ian’s wedding from this summer! It pretty much renewed my (already strong) faith in love, marriage and commitment beyond anything else. But for now, since there is a cold front coming through I will share this lovely snowy engagement session today before the temps go back up!
Aren’t they the best?? If you are engaged and are curious about Engagement sessions or weddings, please get in touch HERE today! I would love to get you on my 2019 calendar!

Robyn was one of my roommates during graduate school and I was so happy when she called to tell me Alex had proposed and that they wanted me to do their engagement pictures! Since we live no where near each other, we decided to meet in the middle in Komoka, at Komoka Provincial Park. Robyn and Alex are planning a destination wedding in Mexico, but their engagement pictures are as Canadian as can be. The Komoka area was flooded with snow the day we were there, and we had a great time walking the trails with their adorable golden puppy Jake.
Robyn and Alex, thank you so much for inviting me to capture this special time in your life, I am so honoured to have been a part of it. It fills my heart to see such a good friend happy, and so obviously loved by her partner (I thought I could get through this without a cop pun… whoops!). Congratulations again Robyn + Alex!!
