September might be my favourite month of all. I mean, sure it includes my birthday, but it is so much more! It is that sweet spot between summer and winter where it is still warm during the day and cool in the evening. The sun still sets slow enough for beautiful evening light, but isn’t shining through the curtains at bed time. You can go for ice cream one day, and to hockey practice the next.
I always find the start of the school year is always a welcome reset and a great time for goal setting, and this year was extra special with Arch starting junior kindergarten. I celebrated 29 years of this awesome life with a beer on the deck and a hug from my guys (perfection). September is also the month we were married (5 years!), and although our anniversary celebrations look a little different these days, I will take ball park dogs with my boys over a romantic dinner any time.
