Nicole & Hooni’s was such a pleasure to shoot. Their families were welcoming, their friends were a blast, and their love for one another was written all over their faces all day long. They held their wedding at the jaw-dropping Cambridge Mill, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint (even with the torrential downpours)!!
Nicole & Hooni met while she was teaching English in Korea. Many of their friends from all over the globe travelled to celebrate their wedding with them, which speaks volumes to the strengths of these friendships. Two of their friends even sang Etta James’ At Last, and I think everyone in the room had chills! Their families were so very respectful of one another, and seeing two cultures come together seamlessly was humbling. It was so interesting and enlightening to be involved in a wedding that incorporated a number of different traditions.
As always, the speeches were my favourite part of the night. There is nothing quite like the loving, heart-felt (and at times hilariously embarrassing) stories about the newlyweds to get everyone laughing. The speeches were full of love and laughter, and the whole night left me feeling giddy.
Thank you so much Nicole and Hooni for having me document your day. It was a true honour, and I hope you will cherish these images for your lifetime.
